Individuals

We are meant to wander

While we have little power to shift and control things in the world, we cling to the illusion that we do, for safety and security. The paradox of empowerment is that when we change, everything else in the system is forced to change.

My perspective is to help you empower yourself to make the changes within you that you can, and to accept what you cannot; to learn to be honest with yourself, to be brave, and to trust yourself. I will support you to discover yourself, your resiliency, and your strength; to uncover what is underlying, and what is getting in your way.

Addiction

Compassion Curiosity is a philosophy that guides my work with addiction. In my work, I have most often found that it is the unexpressed emotions, needs, and shame and the denial of what is, that create destructive cycles. I work to challenge, prompt, and support YOU to investigate and explore yourself.

My work is to listen, question, point out, and challenge you to be honest with yourself. My goal is not to “get” you somewhere or “fix” anything or anyone for you.

Trauma

My perspective on trauma is that most of us have experienced it. From minor experiences to extreme, all of these experiences shape feelings of safety, our view of the world, of others and of ourselves. I believe healing from trauma can offer a huge opportunity for growth and gaining wisdom.

However, it is hard to do alone.

In my work with trauma, we initially focus on “Seeking Safety” and ensuring you are safe now, and to trust yourself to keep yourself safe. From there, I employ different approaches to uncover and heal the trauma, specifically using Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), attachment, and redefining your perception of the experience and ultimately yourself.

In my practice, I primarily work with couples, addictions, and trauma. I work in a variety of ways - from individual sessions, intensives, groups, and creative projects. Please review my other pages for details on these offerings.
